Shroud of Turin Pilgrimage PDF Print E-mail

Turin brochure frontThe Shroud of Turin, the possible burial cloth of Christ, is one of the most fascinating objects in Christianity and you have the opportunity to view it in person on a beautiful faith-filled 10-day pilgrimage to Turin, Assisi, Rome and other important holy sites. The Shroud of Christ is a linen cloth approximately 14×3 feet bearing the distinct image of a crucified man. The last time the shroud was displayed publicly was in 2010 and was not originally due to be displayed again until 2025. It will be displayed for a brief period in 2015 to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of St. John Bosco, founder of the Salesians. This is perhaps literally a once in a lifetime opportunity to view the Shroud.

As well as viewing the Shroud, you will tour Assisi, visit the site of the Eucharistic miracle of Lanciano, visit the Marian Shrine at Loreto, and San Giovanni Rotondo where the tomb of Padre Pio is located, as well as what was once thought to be Veronica’s veil, but might actually be the face cloth of Jesus left behind in the tomb. You will also take a guided tour of Christian Rome, including St. Peter's Basilica. Celebrate Mass at St. Paul Outside the Walls Basilica and take a guided tour of St. Sebastian Catacombs.

As an extra treat you have the ability to extend your pilgrimage for an extra 3 days in Rome to celebrate Mass at St. Peter’s Basilica and take guided tours of the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, visit the Coliseum and the Forum, and celebrate Mass at St. Peter in Chains.

This is an amazing opportunity to visit some of the most important places in Christianity and deepen your faith. Join Steve & Janet Ray and Teresa Tomeo in May 2015 for this beautiful pilgrimage arranged by Corporate Travel Service. For more information visit Steve & Janet's Footprints of God website.
